Corrigan Brothers rewrite Obama hit to Celebrate Bruce Springsteen’s Irish Roots
They have reached over seven million you tube hits and charted all over the world with “There’s no one as Irish as Barack Obama” and now the Irish Band , The Corrigan Brothers have re-written their hit to celebrate the news that Bruce Springsteen’s Irish roots have been discovered in Mullingar County Westmeath Ireland through his great great great grandmother, Ann Garrity who left Mullingar in 1852. Lead singer Ger Corrigan said “we will release the song and a video on July 16th, a day before Bruce plays in Dublin Ireland, and
we are willing to allow Bruce perform it with us if he can learn it in the next week or so”. The brothers who have just completed writing a soundtrack for the Olympia Films production of “George Clooney’s Irish Roots” have also re-recorded their Obama song for the President’s 2012 campaign and look forward to attending another inauguration as a guest of the President of the United States. They are currently recording their third album and preparing for a US tour in November.
