Parents to nominate local playgrounds for a “makeover”

Parents have the chance to nominate a local playground to get a graffiti clean-up and a makeover!

To celebrate this month’s topic of “Play for Children” as part of the Mykidstime.ie Positive Childhood campaign supported by Minister Frances Fitzgerald, Mykidstime has joined forces with Murphy Playground Services and Graffiti Wipeout to offer a Playground Clean-Up for a local playground worth €2,000!

The winning playground will receive a complete clean of all surfaces and equipment including removal of graffiti, moss and algae, leaving it clean and fresh and ready to play on.

They are also giving away two runner up prizes of graffiti removal kits which the local community can use to clean up their own playground.

To enter all you have to do is upload a photo at www.mykidstime.ie/playgroundmakeover showing how dirty/graffiti ridden your local playground is.  The closing date for entries Sunday 26th August and 10 playgrounds will be shortlisted for judging during the week of 27th August with the winner and runners up announced at the start of September.

Jill Holtz, co-founder of Mykidstime.ie said “We wanted to include the topic of Play for children in our Positive Childhood Campaign and playgrounds form such an important part of that.  We are very pleased that Murphy Playground Services & Graffiti Wipeout are offering this great prize for us to give away and to help give something back to local communities”
