Parents Against Child Benefit Cuts to form an action group and march on the Dáil

The Government is finalizing the 2013 budget. Within this Budget there is a
proposed cut to the children’s allowance. This cut could be as much as €40.

A special advisory group was appointed by Social Protection Minister Joan
Burton T.D, and this advisory group recommended the cuts to child benefit,
which could save the department €200m a year. But it is the children who
will face the consequences of these cuts

This cut comes  on top of other taxes that have risen over the last 12
months including the household charge to name but a few. Parents in Ireland
can take no more. This monthly payment that is made to each household can be
the only money that a parent has to dress their child, to make their home
warm and in a lot of cases to pay their utilities.

Due to this myself and other concerned parents have decided to form an
action group and march on the Dáil, on November 3rd at 12 noon, further
