One Million Trees in One Day launches giant business crowd-funding scheme.

In response to a huge amount of interest from businesses in the One Million Trees in One Day initiative during its development, the team have created a scheme for businesses to join with and support the project in different ways and to gain from positive local, national and on-line exposure.
The Local Business Supporters’ Scheme is designed to accommodate everyone from very small businesses through to large corporations.  One Million Trees in One Day has been produced during a time of serious economic difficulty for the whole island and it aims to engage with businesses and present an affordable good news story for every sort of industry.
Businesses joining the scheme will be investing directly into trees at local community sites and at sites in the county in which they operate.  In exchange for support from businesses, the scheme offers local advertising, PR and editorial coverage, on-line exposure and a wonderful brand alignment opportunity with this huge community and environmental initiative.
Businesses can join the One Million Trees in One Day team in 3 ways:
1- By becoming a Local Business Sponsor.
2- By making a small donation to the project.
3- By offering help with skills and services locally.
To promote the Local Business Supporters’ Scheme, the team will be on the road visiting every county and as many communities as possible to raise awareness of the project and to meet with businesses, organisations and individuals.  This week, 11th February to 15th February, the team will be in Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford, Cork and Tipperary.  Please see Facebook and Twitter for latest updates on tour stop off points.
