Set Tyrone Dobbs Free – Corrigan Brothers heading for Coronation Street
Corrigan Brothers the Castletroy Band who have amassed over ten million youtube hits as well as charting all over the world with their international hit “There’s no one as Irish as Barack Obama” are heading to Coronation Street in a fight for justice for lovable mechanic Tyrone Dobbs. Tyrone’s evil wife Kirsty has recently set him up with false accusations of actual bodily harm and a massive campaign has started in the UK to set Tyrone Free. Lead singer Ger Corrigan told the Limerick Leader how the song came about, “our manager is a big Corrie fan and last week he suggested that we take a shot at writing a song for the free Tyrone Dobbs campaign, the campaign has 
gathered momentum in the UK and we understand that numerous endings have been filmed for it’s outcome. A lot of people are genuinely upset that Tyrone has been wrongly accused of actual bodily harm. We sat down and wrote the song and our manager sent it to ITV the makers of coronation street and they immediately publicised it on their Coronation street blog. The song is being recorded currently, but they love the lyrics”.
The song entitled “Set Tyrone Dobbs” free” and discussions are currently taking place with Corrigan Brothers management to potentially film some of the video on the famous cobbles. Ger Corrigan continued “it would be great if we get to film some of the video in the worlds most famous TV street and perhaps pop in to he rovers for a swift half of Newton and Ridley and one of Betty’s famous hot pots. We hope the song will help to get Tyrone released. The passion for Tyrone is running high, we have received several hundred emails thanking us for helping Tyrone”.
Set Tyrone Dobbs Free will be released on February 26th in the UK .
