Intern Position with Irish BioEnergy Association
IrBEA are in the process of forming an Energy Crop subgroup and are looking to take on an intern to work with this group. Due to circumstances we must receive any expressions of interest (including CV’s) by 3pm, Friday 6th December. The internship will present a unique opportunity for any graduate looking to enter the renewable energy industry.

Description of work:

The Intern will assist the IrBEA Energy Crops Spokesperson in promoting energy crops and in coordinating the work of an energy crops working group across the island of Ireland. |
Key technical and generic competences:
|
Intern must have a degree in an agricultural, science or engineering background. Experience of bioenergy systems and fuels would be an advantage
|

The position will be full time. The candidate will be required to work in the Belfast office of Action Renewables. There will be a requirement to attend the IrBEA office in Carlow on a regular basis (e.g. once monthly) for supervision purposes. |
Pay / expenses:
|
Remuneration will be discussed with candidates. Agreed expenses involved will be covered. Millage expenses will be paid at the rate of 40cent/km Overnight allowances will be paid at €53.87/night and day allowances at €13.71 for 5 – 10 hours work and €33.61 for over 10 hours[1].

Other Information: |
The Intern will be encouraged to attend, as an observer, meetings of the IrBEA management committee, WFQA oversight committee and other IrBEA meetings. They will also be welcome to attend field days and training sessions organised by IrBEA. The Terms of Reference and work plan may be edited at the request of the Intern, Supervisor or IrBEA president. |
