This event will focus on how emerging technologies, such as 3D printing and digital modelling tools, are being used to engage people into and re-appropriate museum objects. There will also be a practical element to this workshop, where participants will actively learn and experiment with digital modelling tools. No prior experience is necessary. This event is recommended for anyone interested in how emerging technologies are being used in a museum context.
The January workshop will open a discussion for possible workshops in May, June, and July. The January workshop is planned as an initial exploration of the topic and is recommended for anyone interested in emerging digital technologies in cultural heritage environments.
