‘Ladies Soapox Post’ Ladies Networking Event with a Difference

January 29th, 2014 will celebrate the first ladies networking event of its kind which aims to support growth and development for women in business whist providing guests with a practical tool kit to take back to their respective workplaces and implement immediately. The Ladies Soapbox Post is intended to assist female entrepreneurs in Ireland and to enhance the capability and achievability of women in the workplace.

Held at The Thomas Prior Hall, Bewleys Hotel, Ballsbridge the morning event is a bespoke networking opportunity targeted to all Women in Business; CEO’s to entrepreneurs, SME owners to those who have the ideas and the concepts but not the knowhow or the experience to get their ideas off the ground.

The concept behind the Soapbox Post is that a significant amount of the content at the event is created on the day by the people in the room. Through capitalising on the delegates, their businesses and their entrepreneurial goals, this event provides each attendee the opportunity to “stand up on the soap box” and give their company or idea 3-minutes promotion.

Organiser, Carley Donegan says, “What makes Ladies Soapbox Post so unique is that for instance instead of usual networking systems, we will be having Speed Dating for business, ensuring that guests can capitalise on the number of people and array of experience in the room. This is especially ideal for those who are attending on their own.”

The event is tailored specifically towards business professionals and aims to support growth in female entrepreneurship. The event will cover everything from the grants and funding availability for SMEs, to Social Media in a nutshell and the ins and outs of staff employment. There will also be a talk on How to put Your Best Foot Forward with Elaine Gerahty, CEO of Inspire which will focus on all aspects of presentation and communication in the business world.

Fannie Day of Ladies Soap Box Post commented:  “The vital element of this event is the support and the encouragement we will be giving to women in business, so they can start up their own company or improve their current company, develop and enlarge and also increase the opportunity to create new jobs. With more women getting back into the workplace we want to provide a day for them to learn the crucial elements of the business world and to make a real difference to the overall level of women led entrepreneurial activity in Ireland.”
