Fundraising dogs Heidi and Hayden embark on world tour of Ireland

Fundraising Dogs Heidi and Hayden have embarked on an intrepid world tour of Ireland to sell tickets to win a brand new Ford Focus later this year for Irish Guide Dogs.

From Longford to Limerick, Wilton to Wicklow Heidi and Hayden are all set for their big adventure around the country, selling raffle tickets in shopping centres, busy main streets and some national landmarks, all in aid of Irish Guide Dogs.

Since 2011 Ford Ireland has donated a brand new Ford Focus worth €20K to Irish Guide Dogs to raffle to raise money for its service to people who are vision impaired and children with autism. To date the partnership has raised €400,000 for the national charity. The 2013 winner Yvonne Roche from Cork with her brand new Ford Focus in February of this year.

“When Irish Guide Dogs approached me looking for help to promote their 2014 Ford Focus car raffle, I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to use my glamorous looks for a good cause,” said Fundraising Dog Heidi, a Golden Doodle (golden retriever crossed with standard poodle) breed. “People also have the opportunity to spend time in my company as ‘lucky assistants’ and help us sell raffle tickets in your area.

”Tickets for the car raffle cost €5 and are available to purchase on www.guidedogs.ie and would make a great Mother’s Day gift with a difference.
