Mary says

Mary Byrne Digipak.indd‘The X Factor was a huge platform for me and I learned so much in the last 3 years about the music and TV industry. I decided I wanted to do an album of songs which I grew up with and loved, they are my favourites from the old musicals, but we have given them a modern, popular appeal to suit young and old alike. I am so proud of this album and I think my audience will love it too!’

The album includes Cheek To Cheek, Hello Young Lovers, and Summertime

Mary also includes on the album her first self penned song’Midnight Dreamer’.

‘I’m always singing songs to myself and to finally get one completed and published is yet another dream come true’

Since reaching the semi-finals of ITV’s ‘The X-Factor’, where she was mentored by Louis Walsh, Mary has performed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her historic State visit to Ireland in 2011, and shared the stage with Neil Diamond to perform for over 55,000 fans at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.

She has just returned from a two week world trip which saw her travel from a performance in the Austrian snow, to cruising and performing in the Caribbean sunshine visiting the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Honduras and Mexico.

Mary continues to be in demand as a guest at various shows, festivals, cabarets and functions. She recently hosted her own radio show and she makes regular appearances on TV and radio chat shows both in Ireland and overseas. She is currently writing a thriller novel and a selection of children’s books and continues to do as much charity work as she can fit into her busy schedule!

She has recently been asked to join the fundraising campaign for the Woman’s mini-marathon for the Irish Hospice Foundation.

Mary is also looking forward to heading off to Broadway to see Simon Cowell’s new Musical Production, “I Can’t Sing” based on the TV Show ‘The X Factor’. Mary’s experiences are portrayed by the character Brenda, played by the late Harry Seacombe‘s daughter Katy. Mary is thrilled to be portrayed in such a high-profile production.
