Ireland’s First dedicated Ecommerce Expo

Organisers of Ireland’s first dedicated Ecommerce Expo announced today that it it incumbent on companies that have survived the recession to grasp the opportunities that the world of ecommerce offer in order to benefit from the economic upturn.
Stephen Quinn, one of the event organisers and Managing Director of Evolution Digital stated,
“With online spend in Ireland increasing by 15% per annum businesses can no longer afford to miss out. The current market in Ireland is estimated to be circa €15.4 billion with 59% of adults shopping on the internet at least once a month. The average spend per transaction now topping €104. “
“The opportunity to expand into this lucrative market is being overlooked by Irish businesses as 80% of business to business and business to consumer sites are not accepting online orders or payments.”

Some of the biggest names in Irish online retail are set to address the Ecommerce Expo been held in the Crowne Plaza, Santry onWednesday, October 7.
The line-up of speakers include Mick’s Garage, Schoolbooks.ie, Buy4Now, Evolution Digital, DPD, Eurobase, Taxback and Realex. Attendees will be exposed to the insights of companies that have not only a proven track record targeting on line sales domestically but in some cases have expanded into European markets as well.
