Free seminar on ‘Public Procurement for Small Businesses’, Thurs 27th Nov

The Local Enterprise Office Wicklow would like to invite you to attend a FREE Seminar onThursday 27th November from 2pm – 4pm in the Parkview HotelNewtownmountkennedy.
The Seminar covers a topic relevant to virtually all small businesses in the County – Public Procurement. The procurement landscape in the public sector is changing to become much more transparent and straightforward for suppliers. In particular there is a drive towards encouraging small and medium businesses to engage more in this lucrative €16 billion per annum all-island market.

The Local Enterprise Office Wicklow and Wicklow County Council are hosting this free seminar asthe first of its kind in Ireland. The Seminar is specifically designed for small and micro businesses, from one-person operations to those with dozens of employees. The aim is to provide clear introductory information on how to register to be informed of tender opportunities that arise. Terms such as PINs (prior information notices), RFTs (requests for tenders) and Frameworks will be explained, and tender publication websites will be given. Criteria for evaluating tenders will also be covered. In short, this is an essential seminar for any business of any size to attend. Guest speakers include Wicklow County Council, InterTradeIreland and the Local Government Strategic Procurement Office. InterTradeIreland will provide information on the massive cross-border public sector opportunities and on their Go2Tender training programmes.
