Financing & Funding Opportunities for Businesses that ‘Go Green’ National Conference on June 10th
The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Green Business Programme, in association with Ibec is delighted to announce a full programme including high profile speakers for the upcoming ‘Financing & Funding Opportunities for Greening your Business’ event which will be held on the 10th of May in Killashee House Hotel, Naas, Co Kildare.
The national conference is free to attend and the full-day event aimed at encouraging businesses to adopt green practices will follow two themes – funding efficiencies in business, and funding initiatives and supports from government agencies.
Speakers will include business figures such as Gerard Cleary of Glenisk who will discuss financing resource efficiency; Frances McArdle of Height for Hire, who will demonstrate how financing energy efficiency has benefited his business, as well as Keiron Phillips from the EPA who will launch the 2015 Green Enterprise Fund. Mark Sweeney from Enterprise Ireland and Ray Bowe from the IDA will discuss the funding options and supports available to businesses in the area of resource efficiency.

Paul Martin of VERDE LED, who will be amongst the speakers on the day, will discuss how the company is working on public sector projects across Ireland to implement energy and cost savings in line with the Green Business ethos. One such example of the company’s success was with Gorey Community School who were funded by SEAI and Heaton’s to achieve 65% savings on lighting costs and a 30% overall energy saving within the facility.
Registration on the day begins at 8.30am and there will be a complementary lunch for attendees at 1pm, before the second segment begins at 2pm and continues until 4pm.
