Peter “Chewbacca” Mayhew Leads The Charge At Invasion Dublin This October
Ahead of the eagerly-anticipated release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December, the immensely popular Invasion Dublin returns to Dublin’s National Show Centre in Swords this October 17th and 18th.
Now in its fifth year, Invasion Dublin is an award-winning Star Wars exhibition for the whole family featuring replica sets and props from across the series, costumed characters from Ireland’s renowned Star Wars club Emerald Garrison and a full stage schedule featuring Q&As, competitions and much more!
Through its history, Invasion Dublin has hosted very special guests from the world ofStar Wars, and 2015 will be no different: the one and only Peter Mayhew, aka Chewbacca, will be on hand to meet and greet fans along with Kenny Baker, the force behind the iconic character R2D2. This occasion will mark Baker’s final appearance in Ireland before his upcoming retirement, making Invasion Dublin 2015 an extra special event for long-term fans.
Also appearing at Invasion Dublin will be Sean Crawford and Tim Dry who, after appearing in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as Yakface and J’Quille respectively, went on to form the musical duo Tik and Tok, and would perform with Depeche Mode, Gary Numan and more.
Supporting Irish Autism Action, Invasion Dublin is an exciting day out for the whole family with something for everyone – from the die-hard Star Wars fans to complete newbies to the universe.
