Second General Election in 2016 now 7/4

BoyleSports can report that the plunge on a second general election to take place before the end of 2016 hasn’t shown any signs of drying up.

Initially installed at 11/2 it’s now 7/4 from 2/1 that we will be heading to the polling stations for a second time before the year is out.  The odds of another general election not taking place in 2016 have been eased further from 1/5, but still remains the odds on favourite at 2/5.

Labour look set to struggle and with another poll seeing the party lose confidence from the public it’s now 4/6 from 6/5 that they will win Under 9.5 seats.

In the constituency betting, Sinn Féin’s Séamus Morris has seen movement and is now 3/1 from 9/2 to win one of the five seats available in Tipperary whilst in Cork South-Central Fianna Fáil’s Michael McGrath has hardened further into 1/9 from 1/7 to win one of the four available seats following a large four figure bet on him at 1/7.

Liam Glynn, BoyleSports’ spokesperson said: “The chances of us heading to the polling stations twice in 2016 continues to strengthen on a daily basis and with no signs of support for it drying up its now 7/4 that it will happen. Having been initially installed at 11/2 it is currently a large four figure loser for the firm.”

He added “In the latest poll Labour continue to struggle and as a result its now odds on at 5/6 that the party will win Under 9.5 seats.”
