Saxon Warrior 15/8 To Break World Record For Aidan O’Brien

All eyes will be firmly focused on Doncaster this coming Saturday when Aidan O’Brien will bid for a World Record in the Racing Post Trophy. The Ballydoyle maestro currently sits with 25 Group One victories so far this year, and he will be hoping he can surpass Bobby Frankel this Saturday with one of his runners. Saxon Warrior, the son of Deep Impact whom is unbeaten in two starts, is the current favourite for the race at 15/8.

Jim Bolger will be hoping his Verbal Dexterity can land the spoils and prevent his former pupil creating history this coming Saturday. The son of Vocalised was a very impressive winner of the National Stakes at the Curragh last time out and is currently sitting second in the betting at 10/3.

The Pentagon is another who could line up for team O’Brien after winning the Tyros Stakes at Leopardstown. The son of Galileo is currently 7/2 in the betting and jockey bookings are sure to determine which horse will start favourite.

Leon Blanche, Head of Communications for BoyleSports commented “Aidan O’Brien is on the brink of setting a new world record for the number of Group One victories in a season. Saxon Warrior was visually very impressive last time out and although he is 15/8 jolly at the minute, it is hard to get away from the fact the Verbal Dexterity is already a victor at the highest level and he is the one attracting most support at 10/3.”
