Smart Farming Progress Report To Launch On World Food Day
The Smart Farming Progress Report 2017 will be launched on World Food Day, Monday, October 16th in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Dublin.
Smart Farming works with farmers to identify ways to improve returns on their farm while enhancing the environment. The initiative is led by the IFA in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
The launch will report on Smart Farming’s ambitious targets to identify average cost savings of €5,000 per farm and ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 5-7%.
Speakers include Joe Healy, IFA President; Ray Jordan, CEO Gorta Self Help Africa; Laura Burke, EPA Director General; and Professor Gerry Boyle, Teagasc Director.
