Talented Laois Students Win Texaco Awards
Four Laois students have been presented with top awards in this year’s 64th Texaco Children’s Art Competition.
Rían Dooley (3), a pupil at Íosa Linn Pre-school, Ballybrittas, won a Special Merit Award in the competition. James Twohig, Director Ireland Operations at Valero. presented him with the award.

Other Laois winners, who also received Special Merit Awards at a ceremony held in Dublin recently, were Asma Zulfiqar (15), from Scoil Chríost Rí, Portlaoise and Oisín Smyth (6) and Gerard Kenny (10), from Shanganamore National School, Via Athy.
