NDC National Ploughing Championships Line Up 2018
The NDC have a really exciting line up at this year’s Ploughing championships. We have a fabulous programme of events, cooking demos, celebrities, Influencers, healthcare experts and sports stars at our stand over the three days.
Activities and Attractions
Wellie Clinic – Podiatrists will be on hand to check the health of your feet – wearing wellies all day can cause foot problems!
Football Darts – Check out your aim and footy skills with a special giant dart board penalty shoot-out!
The Green Screen – a visual effects technique which allows subjects to be isolated from a background and filmed moving, dancing, walking, etc – Great Fun!
Cappagh Bone Clinic – Get help and advice from the experts at Cappagh Hospital on keeping your bones strong and avoiding osteoporosis and other bone conditions.
The Complete Natural Kitchen – delicious food and demos will be held over the three days with our exciting guest chefs!
Free Dairy Ice Cream will be served from or stand across the three days
Co-Op Marketplace – The cream of Irish dairy produce will be sampled from our award-winning Co-ops over the three days.
Milk Float – Keep yourself hydrated and nourished with ice cold free Irish milk served from our vintage milk van.

Tuesday 18th September
“Dancing at the Ploughing” with former DWTS contestant Anna Geary and her partner Kai Widdrington, Marty Morrissey and MC Julian Benson doing the Charleston!
We are also inviting people from the crowd to show off their dance moves in front of judges Julian Benson and Kai Widdrington – the best dancers will win a special prize and have their photos taken with the Stars!
Chef Adrian Martin will be cooking some delicious dishes in the Complete Natural Kitchen.

TV and social media star Doireann Garrihy will be interviewing Mary Berry about her life and career to date.
Mary Berry – Dare to Dairy with Mary – Afternoon Tea at Ploughing. Presentation with judges to the three finalists who took part in the Dare to Dairy with Mary competition – who have created something unique and delicious to be served at Afternoon Tea. The Queen of Ploughing Anna May McHugh will be dropping by for a cup of tea with Mary!
Food writer and former Great Irish Bake Off Judge Lilly Higgins will be cooking a delicious menu inspired by the best of Irish dairy produce.
Thursday 20th September
Currabinny – Snapchat and TV Star James Kavanagh and Chef/Partner William Murray will be cooking from their new Currabinny Cookbook.
Fashion and Beauty Instagram star Louise Cooney will be showing off her “Ploughing Style”.
GAA Stars Eoin Cadogan, Brendan Maher – more stars to be announced ****
Instagram Pilates Star Aoife Hannon will be showing some moves.
Panel Discussion – Optimum Nutrition for Sport – Some of Ireland’s top GAA Stars will be chatting with Dr Pat O’Neill, Former GAA Coach and surgeon at Cappagh National Orthopedic Hospital Hospital and Dr Sharon Madigan, Sport Ireland Institute.
