Enterprise Rent-A-Car To Recruit 120 Irish Graduates Over Next 12 Months

The world’s largest vehicle rental company is launching a major graduate recruitment campaign. Over the next 12 months, Enterprise Rent-A-Car will recruit 120 graduates across its regional network of 27 rental branches located all over Ireland.

The campaign launches as demand for vehicle rental accelerates with towns and communities across Ireland looking for low-cost, low-emission and convenient motoring.

Graduates who join the company’s award-winning graduate Management Training Programme rapidly gain valuable experience across all areas of business management. This includes customer service, operations, sales, marketing and finance, in an entrepreneurial culture that empowers trainees by giving them real responsibility early in their career.

People can apply from any university, degree and attainment level. Enterprise recruits based on potential and is looking for people who can demonstrate customer service, teamwork and leadership skills.

With branches throughout Ireland, Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s graduate Management Trainees can choose to work close to home or head off to pastures new, as they are not tied to expensive cities or obliged to move far away.

Announcing the graduate recruitment drive Enterprise Ireland Managing Director, Brendan Grieve said, ‘This is an exciting time for graduates to join Enterprise in Ireland as we continue to grow the business and drive sustainable mobility services through our Rent-A-Car, Car Club, and Flex-E-Rent divisions.

‘The Management Training Programme can be the start of a long-term career at Enterprise which opens up great opportunities. Enterprise has a promote-from-within culture which enables graduate trainees to experience different roles and progress through the company. Many of the senior leadership team in Europe began their careers as graduate trainees, as did I.

‘Our primary purpose is to ensure that sustainable, efficient, and reliable transport options are available to communities across Ireland, and as we celebrate our 25-year anniversary in Ireland this year, we look forward to bringing our 120 new recruits on this journey with us.’

Enterprise is also planning to recruit up to 25 students for 12-month industrial placements across the business. Employees on placements can return to Enterprise after graduation and enter straight into a management role, having completed the training programme on placement.

Legacy in Ireland

This comes at an exciting time for Enterprise as it celebrates its 25th Anniversary in Ireland and gear up for further expansion across the country.

Enterprise recently celebrated the opening of its St Stephen’s Green branch, and will open a new branch in Castlebar, along with the relocation of sites in Cavan, Letterkenny, Athlone, Dun Laoghaire and Wexford over the next 12 months.

Sustainable Mobility

This year’s recruits will join Enterprise at a time when transport strategy is in the spotlight, providing exciting opportunities to shape the future of mobility. Businesses and public sector bodies are looking to broaden their travel options to reduce emissions and improve efficiency.

In 2021, Enterprise Holdings brought its flagship car sharing service Enterprise Car Club to Ireland with a fleet of over 30 vehicles nationwide initially, including 16 on-street locations in Dublin city. Plans are underway to further grow the fleet in both branches and in rural and urban on-site locations across Ireland.

Enterprise is fully committed to sustainable forms of transport with a growing fleet of hybrid and electric vehicles across the business. Enterprise Holdings is a signatory of the Business in the Community Low Carbon Pledge.
