Small Business Works for Laois Invention Sweepovac

In early times Cullenagh, Portlaoise, was famous for being one of the original commercial centers of Co Laois with 2 mills and a bustling local trade. Building on the area’s business roots is inventor and serial entrepreneur, Henry Fingleton. Henry from Cullenagh has invented the Sweepovac, a new innovative vacuum device that is installed into the plinth of a kitchen. With more and more homes fitting wooden or tiled floors this device is great for keeping floors dirt free. Whether you have pets, children, and bad back or simply interested in an efficient way to keep your floors clean, Sweepovac may be a solution for you. It is easy to operate; simply sweep the floor as normal and the Sweepovac sucks away the dirt pronto. The company, Sweepovac Limited, has signed a major distribution deal with a European Kitchen distribution company and is now rolling out the device to over 100 kitchen retailers and home stores across Ireland.

“Interest in Sweepovac has really taken off over the last 12 months. Within 2 years we have gone from the idea stage, designing and manufacturing the prototypes to a finalized product with orders coming in daily. We have now 3 full time employees and hope to grow that by 2015.  One thing that I was adamant about was using local Laois businesses to supply to us and in particular our various marketing materials. We use Penhouse Designs (Ratheniska) for our graphic design, Quality Printers (Portlaoise) for brochures and business cards, Blue Bubble Creative for our website and Digiprints for all of our marketing gifts (pens, t shirts etc)”. There are plenty of local suppliers for all of our commercial needs and with the economy in recovery they are offering fantastic value for small businesses”. Henry Fingleton.

Optional – Sweepovac are exhibiting at the Senior Times, Over 50 Show, RDS Main Hall, Stand 155, October Friday to Sunday 19-21.
