Galway now 11/2 from 14/1 to lift Liam McCarthy trophy
Following their 2-28 to 0-22 victory over Cork in the All-Ireland SHC quarter final, Galway are now 11/2 from 14/1 to lift the Liam McCarthy trophy this year.
Waterford who eased past Dublin to set up a semi-final meeting with reigning champions Kilkenny remain the outsiders of the four remaining teams but are now 8/1 from 10/1 to register a third All-Ireland SHC title.
Kilkenny head the betting at 6/5 with Tipperary available at 13/8 to lift the trophy for a 27th time having last lifted it back in 2010.
Liam Glynn, BoyleSports’ spokesperson said: “Johnny Glynn played a stormer for Galway and as a result the Tribes men are now 11/2 from 14/1 to lift the Liam McCarthy trophy for an eight time.”
He added “Kilkenny remain the favourites at 6/5 to retain the trophy and remain the worst result in the book for BoyleSports having been supported down from 11/4 prior to the championship commencing.”
