No Plans to Introduce Baggage Charges Says Irish Ferries

In a tongue in cheek response to the announcement that some airlines are pushing up their Summer baggage charges, Irish Ferries reminds holidaymakers travelling by ferry that they can bring all that their car can carry, free of any charges whatsoever.

According to the Company’s head of passenger sales Dermot Merrigan, “more and more families are turning to self-drive holidays by ferry due to the absence of baggage charges and restrictions.”

“Other appealing factors include the speed and versatility of shorter check-in times, the reliability of service plus the flexibility and savings that come from the choice of fare options and cost-cutting deals that are available”.
