Dr. Bronner’s Announces Donation to VOICE Ireland in Support of Environmental Conservation as Part of New “All-One Ireland Initiative”
Dr. Bronner’s, the global top-selling organic and fair trade soap and body care brand, is proud to announce its new All-One Ireland Initiative with a donation to environmental conservation organisation, VOICE Ireland. The initiative is a local-to-Ireland branch of Dr. Bronner’s All-One International Initiativethat seeks to ensure mission-aligned advocacy is supported in the markets that Dr. Bronner’s sells its products in around the world.
Through the All-One International Initiative, at a minimum, 1% of Dr. Bronner’s sales to Ireland each year will be donated to local advocacy efforts in support of social justice, animal advocacy, and environmental sustainability. Dr. Bronner’s plans to continue to expand the All-One International Initiative to new international markets over the next few years following a similar mandate.
The first official donation Dr. Bronner’s made under the banner of the All-One Ireland Initiative was to VOICE Ireland. The organisation works to empower individuals and local communities to take positive action to conserve natural resources. Dr. Bronner’s All-One Ireland Initiative is donating to this highly effective organisation and their initiatives within the country as VOICE Ireland is aligned with Dr. Bronner’s core focus areas of Environmental Sustainability and Social Justice.
Specifically, Dr. Bronner’s is pleased to be supporting VOICE Ireland’s ‘Sick of Plastic Campaign’ to promote reusable packaging alternatives instead of single use plastic. Beginning this April, the campaign’s #WeChooseReuse initiative will actively encourage supermarkets and other retail outlets nationwide to embrace and promote these alternatives with the goal of making it easier for consumers to change the way they shop and to adopt a more sustainable approach. VOICE Ireland will help encourage shoppers and retailers to supply and use reusable containers to refill cleaning products or to buy dry goods such as pasta, rice, and other grains.
Speaking on the announcement, President of Dr. Bronner’s, Michael Bronner said, “As a companywide priority, the Dr. Bronner’s All-One International Initiative ensures our brand activism will have an impact in markets where our products are sold around the world and also will ensure that our impact is aligned with our local partners and what is relevant to them. In Ireland, our distributors are deeply inspired by the extraordinary organizations we are supporting and are happy to help elevate awareness of these causes globally.”
Speaking on the partnership, Coordinator from Voice Ireland, Mindy O’Brien said, “We are very thankful to Dr. Bronner’s for your generous donation to our Sick of Plastic campaign, which has allowed us to continue our public awareness and activation work. We have delivered thousands of postcards signed by individuals to each of the large supermarkets urging them to reduce plastic packaging and to adopt new refill systems. We believe that we must mainstream reuse and refill options to make it easy for consumers to shop differently and reduce unwanted and unsustainable packaging. Your support helps us in this important work, which will continue in the years to come, and we look forward to our continued partnership.”
In addition to financial donations, Dr. Bronner’s Ireland has donated its soaps and other products to help Voice Ireland with fundraising activities across Ireland and around the world throughout the year.
