Volkswagen Ireland has confirmed that it is to offer the Passat Alltrack in early 2016. The car, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month will be offered with two power outputs of 150 and 190 PS.
Based on the Passat Estate, the Alltrack sits 27.5 mm higher and comes as standard with 4MOTION permanent all-wheel drive. This makes it capable of coping with poor driving conditions and some off-road situations. It is also perfect as a towing vehicle with a towing load of up to 2,200 kg.
The car features exterior features such as modified bumpers (with underbody guard in stainless-steel look), rugged wheel arches and side sill mouldings covers in “Anthracite” and sill extensions. There are also anodised silver roof rails, “Alltrack” badges on the radiator grille and tailgate and custom 17-inch alloy wheels (which can be upgraded to 18- and 19-inch wheel options).
Pricing will be confirmed in the coming months, but it is expected to be in the region of €45,000. The Passat Alltrack will go on sale in early 2016.
